Kleinert

H. Kleinert:「Path Integrals in Quantum Mechanics, Statistics, Polymer Physics, and Financial Markets」を参照した.

\begin{align*} \mathcal{A}_e^{N}&=\sum_{n=1}^{N+1}\left\{\mathbf{p}_n(\mathbf{x}_n-\mathbf{x}_{n-1}) -\frac{1}{2M}\left[p_{x n}^{\,2}+(p_{y n}-B x_n)^{2}+p_{z n}^{\,2}\right]\right\} \tag{1} \end{align*}

\begin{align*} \mathcal{A}_e^{N}=\sum_{n=1}^{N+1}\left\{\mathbf{p}_n(\mathbf{x}_n-\mathbf{x}_{n-1}) -\frac{\varepsilon}{2M}\left[p_{x n}^{\,2}+(p_{y n}-m\omega_L x_n)^{2}+p_{z n}^{\,2}\right]\right\} \tag{2} \end{align*}

\begin{equation*} \varepsilon\equiv t_n-t_{n-1}=\frac{t_b-t_a}{N+1}>0,\quad \omega_L=\frac{e}{Mc}B \end{equation*}

\begin{align*} \mathcal{A}_e^{N}&=\sum_{n=1}^{N+1}\left[ p_{x n} (x_n-x_{n-1})-\frac{\varepsilon}{2M}p_{x n}^{\,2}-\frac{\varepsilon}{2M}\left(p_y-\frac{e}{c}B\,x\_n \right)^{2}\right]\\ &=\sum_{n=1}^{N+1}\left[ p_{x n} (x_n-x_{n-1})-\varepsilon\left\{\frac{p_{x n}^{\,2}}{2M} +\frac{M}{2}\omega_L^{2}\left(x_n-\frac{p_y}{M\omega_L}\right)^{2}\right\}\right] \tag{2.659'} \end{align*}

In the canonical form, the action reads

\begin{align*} \mathcal{A}[\mathbf{p},\mathbf{x}]&=\int_{t_a}^{t_b}dt\,\left\{\mathbf{p}\cdot\dot{\mathbf{x}}-\frac{1}{2M} \left[\mathbf{p}-\frac{e}{c}\mathbf{A}(\mathbf{x})\right]^{2}\right\} \tag{2.641}\\ &\vdots \end{align*}

The time-sliced form of the canonical action (2.641) reads

\begin{equation*} \mathcal{A}_e^{N}=\sum_{n=1}^{N+1}\left\{\mathbf{p}_n(\mathbf{x}_n-\mathbf{x}_{n-1}) -\frac{1}{2M}\left[p_{x n}^{\,2}+(p_{y n}-B x_n)^{2}+p_{z n}^{\,2}\right]\right\} \tag{2.651} \end{equation*}

and the associated time-evolution amplitude for the particle to run from $\mathbf{x}_a$ to $\mathbf{x}_b$ is given by

\begin{equation*} \left(\mathbf{x}_b t_b|\mathbf{x}_a t_a\right)=\prod_{n=1}^{N}\left[\int d^{3}x_n\right] \prod_{n=1}^{N+1} \left[\int\frac{d^{3}p_n}{(2\pi\hbar)^{3}}\right] \exp\left(\frac{i}{\hbar}\mathcal{A}_e^{N}\right), \tag{2.652} \end{equation*}

with the time-sliced action

\begin{align*} \mathcal{A}_e^{N}&=\sum_{n=1}^{N+1}\left\{\mathbf{p}_n(\mathbf{x}_n-\mathbf{x}_{n-1}) -\frac{1}{2M}\left[p_{x n}^{\,2}+(p_{y n}-B x_n)^{2}+p_{z n}^{\,2}\right]\right\} \tag{2.653}\\ &\quad\vdots \end{align*}

The path integral reduces therefore to

\begin{align*} &\left(\mathbf{x}_b t_b|\mathbf{x}_a t_a\right)=\int_{-\infty}^{\infty}\frac{dp_y dp_z}{(2\pi\hbar)^{2}}\prod_{n=1}^{N} \left[\int_{-\infty}^{\infty} dx_n\right] \prod_{n=1}^{N+1}\left[\int \frac{dp_{x n}}{2\pi\hbar}\right]\\ &\quad\times \exp\left\{\frac{i}{\hbar}\left[p_y(y_b-y_a)+p_z(z_b-z_a)-(t_b-t_a)\frac{p^{2}_{z}}{2M}\right]\right\}\exp\left(\frac{i}{\hbar}\mathcal{A}_x^{N}\right), \tag{2.658} \end{align*}

where $\mathcal{A}_x^{N}$ is the time-sliced action involving only a one-dimensional path integral over the $x$-component of the path, $x(t)$, with the sliced action

\begin{equation*} \mathcal{A}_x^{N}=\sum_{n=1}^{N+1}\left[ p_{x n} (x_n-x_{n-1})-\frac{p_{x n}^{\,2}}{2M} -\frac{1}{2M}\left( p_{y}-\frac{e}{c}B\,x_n \right)^{2}\right] \tag{2.659} \end{equation*}

This is the action of a one-dimensional harmonic oscillator with field-dependent frequency $\omega_B$ whose center of oscillation depend on $p_y$ and lies at $$ x_0=\frac{p_y}{M\omega_L} \tag{2.660} $$
